Kimberlee Shauman, UC Davis

Kimberlee Shauman is a professor of sociology at the University of California, Davis and a member of the Institute for Social Sciences executive committee. Her research examines the intersection of family structure, labor market structure, and career processes in the causes and consequences of family migration.

Shauman’s research include social stratification, family and kinship, demography, sociology of education, and quantitative methodology. In particular, her studies focuses on gender differences in career development and outcomes with particular attention to the causal effects of family characteristics.
