PhD Unlimited: Career Networking with Social Sciences and Humanities Alumni

This event is free, but you must register no later than Monday, April 24 in order to attend. (Late registrations and walk-ins will be accepted. Note: By registering, you will help us to connect you with mentors whose interests match your own.)
Graduate students in the social sciences and humanities are invited to an event focused on opening new opportunities for PhDs after they graduate. Students will have the ability to connect with PhD alumni from the social sciences and humanities who have successfully translated their degrees into careers beyond the tenure track.
Sharing their experiences and offering creative solutions to the challenges of life post-graduation will be over a dozen alumni from:
- State government
11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. "How to Network" Workshop, led by Marjannie Akintunde, UC Davis Career Services for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars
12:15 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Structured Networking Session. Graduate Students will be divided into groups based on career interests, and rotate between tables to meet a broad range of mentors in a "speed dating" format.
3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Reception on the patio, with the chance to follow up and make connections with alumni that caught your interest.
